The Beauty Book by Nancy Rue
From the back cover...
Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
but a woman who fears the Lord
she shall be praised.
Proverbs 31:30 NKJV
Secrets for looking great, inside and out.
Everywhere you turn-TV, magazines, celebrities, and even your friends-it seems everyone demands that you look a certain way to fit in. But what if you aren't "perfect" like the actress in your favorite show? Or don't want to look like everyone else? What about true beauty, the kind God put inside you? Can your inside match the outside? Can you get the God-confidence you need to be content with the person you are?
All the answers are here in this unique and creative book for tween girls. Using a Q&A format, Nancy Rue answers the common questions girls ask during the often confusing and sometimes overwhelming stage of life. Filled with fun quizzes, imaginative activities, and cool illustrations, The Beauty Book offers relevant, timely information about everything from great hair to tattoos, from skin care to clothes, and much more.

I love this series of books! They are wonderful for girls of all ages. They let girls know that it is okay to be themselves. They don't have to be super skinny or hair the next big thing in hair or clothes. Along with letting them know that it is okay to be them, it also gives them tips and techniques on everything from washing their face to how often to have their hair trimmed. There are also scriptures in each chapter that go along with the topic such as dressing modestly. At the end of each chapter there is a place for them to write down things they want to share with other or remember for themselves. I recommend this book for any girl, whether she is okay with who she is or she is struggling to learn who God wants her to be.
