Santa Sack Swap 2012 Goodies Before

For the last 6 months I have been playing in the Santa Sack Swap.  This is the first Christmas swap I have done. I thought I would share a before picture of all my goodies still wrapped up. Cheryll, over at Gone Stitchin', is a wonderful swap mama.  She makes it extra fun.

Here are all of the squishy squashy lovely packages.  The bag on the left is my Santa Sack to store all of them in until it is time to open them up.

Here, they are all neatly put back into the bag and placed under our tree.

Okay I will admit to a little squishing and squeezing and even some sniffing.  The last batch of goodies included something that smells wonderfully like cinnamon.  I have been good and done my VERY BEST not to peek.

Boo came home from school Monday and wanted to know what that was under the Christmas tree.  Then he says that's not fair that I had WAY TOO MANY PRESENTS UNDER THAT TREE.  This comes from the same child what asks me out of the blue not to put his gifts under the tree until right before he goes to sleep on Christmas eve.  He was afraid he would be tempted to get up in the middle of the night and peek if they were under there before then.  Last year we actually put their presents under there before Christmas eve and they did a wonderful job of not messing with them.  I have always just waited until they were asleep Christmas eve to put them under there.  Then on Christmas morning it was loaded with goodies.

I have been pretty busy working on goodies for this swap and trying to get some Christmas gifts made.  I still need to finish one thing up for Sissy Roo that I am secreting.  Boo was home sick with a sinus infection and a temp of almost 101 today so he is in on a few of the secrets now.  He has requested that I whip him up a puppy of some sort for Christmas as well.

I have also been wining some wonderful giveaways.
I won a Scarecrow pattern from Cheryll at Gone Stitchin'.

I also won Stitch It For Christmas from Jeanette at Jeanette's Place.
She also sent me a lovely fat quarter of material.  (Sorry about the picture. I was too lazy to take a picture so I scanned it instead.)

Boo loves Parrots and other birds and his favorite color is red so I am trying to think of something to make him with it.  If you have any suggestions please let me know.

I also entered A BUNCH of the giveaways in the Sew Mama Sew giveaways.  I did manage to win one set of prizes. They are from Anissa at GrowMama. (As she has just let me know that I won, I borrowed the pics from her site.) She has a cute tutorial for a bag, made from an old pillow case, HERE also.

Well as Mr. Boo needs a bath and has turned me out in the dark I guess it is time to call it a day.  Oh, I have added a new link for ads on my blog if any of you would like to put an ad up here.  I have been trying out a few ideas in a means of getting a few extra dollars coming in.

I hope you all are getting lots of crafty gifts made for Christmas.  Hang in there.  Just a week and a half left.  ahhhhh

  1. Hi Mel, still chuckling at the comment you left on my Giveaway post! Having just read this I can see that you are having a run of good luck so, yes, it could well be a birthday present!
Lovely pile of presents in your Santa sack, I try very hard not to squish.
Our decorations are still in the loft, I'm not usually this late.
Hope your preparations go well and good luck in my draw.
