This Blog It Is A Changein'

As you all know this blog started out to be mostly "all about me".  Well The Lord has his own ideas about what this blog should be about.  I will continue to post about all of my things, but on top of that I hope to offer more reviews, giveaways and other great things.  I feel that The Lord is leading me to highlight and share information about companies and products that help, or give back to, the community.  We all have busy lives.  We are working, taking care of family and homes, and trying to do a little something for others as well.  My idea is to start sharing products from companies who are trying to make things easier for us, their buyers, as well as doing their part to giveback in some way to the community. Companies that my family and I can stand behind. In doing so I hope to not only bring wonderful products to all of you but also tell you about companies that are not just out there to get your money, but who are willing to give back in wonderful ways. In doing so, I will be giving back to all of you for sharing your lives with me. I am in contact with two such companies at this time and hope to have more information about them to share with you soon.  In the meantime, as they say in advertising "Stay Tuned For More Information".

I also want to find out more about my followers and even those of you who are not followers. From time to time I will be posting random questions that you can answer to let me know a little more about each of you.  In doing so I will find out more about you and so will others. I will also leave my answer to the questions so I can share a little about myself along the way also. Let's start today.

Please leave me a comment below with the answers and have fun getting to know each other.

Question #1: What is your favorite color and why?

Question #2: What is your favorite Craft or Hobby?

Question #3: If you Crochet or Knit what is your favorite hook/needle size? If you don't do either what is your favorite craft tool?

Answer #1: Blue- Because it is the color of the sky on a clear day and it is calming. Cobalt blue seems to be the color I gravitate to most.

Answer #2: My favorite craft is crochet of course, and I also love to read.

Answer #3: My favorite hook size seems to be an I.  I use it a lot with my favorite yarn.

Let's work together and make this blog all about "Us".

psssst  Don't forget about my two giveaways.

  2. I think that is one reason I use such a big hook also. I have to go up a hook size from what the pattern says most of the time.

  3. 1. Orange --I'm not sure why...maybe because it's bright and cheery? But it has to be the right shade of orange. ;-)
    2. Crochet, of course!
    3. Hmmm, depends on my project. For thread crochet, I most often use 7 or 12 especially for my bead crochet projects. For yarn, I probably use H or I the most.

  4. Hi Melissa!
    1) My favorite color is aqua...it reminds me of the ocean.
    2) My favorite crafts are watercolor painting and photography.
    3) I have a huge love of all things knitted and crocheted, but I don't knit or crochet myself. So, my favorite tools would be a paint brush and my camera.

    God Bless!

    1. I agree about aqua. It reminds me of the ocean as well. I have always loved watercolor paintings but can not paint well myself.

  5. 1. My favourite colour is either lapis blue or celadon green, although I'm trying to make peace with orange. My daughter's a HUGE fan of orange and she's slowly converting me into an orange-aholic. I like the blue and green because they're peaceful colours and goodness knows I need more peacefulness in my life!

    2. I am a crochet addict. And I also really enjoy photography, knitting, and drawing, although I'm really just starting my obsessions with these.

    3. I use a 4.00mm hook the most when I make things that don't call for a specific size. I think it's because the vast majority of things that I made when I was first learning called for a hook that size and my hand just got used to it. The larger sizes feel weird to me.

As a recent follower of your blog, I think the new direction you're taking with it sounds exciting and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for you!

    1. My daughter loves all of those bright colors also. Her favorites are yellow and pink though. I am trying to get into knitting but am very slow and tend to walk away from it VERY easily.

    1. I'm like you I love to look up at the sky on a clear day. That blue is so beautiful. When my son was a baby he loved to sit and watch the green leaves blow in the wind. We would take him outside after dinner and he would end up asleep every time from watching the leaves blow. It lulled him to sleep I guess.
